REPORT (JULY 2022- JUNE 2023):

• 4^TH -7^TH July 2022- As directed and initiated by the Institution, faculties of Education Department involved in CBCS Orientation  Programme given to the 1^st Semester students.
• 11^th August 2022 – Department of Education, Alder College organized Department Orientation Programme for honour students.
• 7^th October 2022- The Department of Education engaged the B.A. 5^th Semester Students in a visit to Tabitha Enabling  Academy. The visit was in tune with the course of B.A. 5^th Semester and is labelled with the theme ‘ You are Special’. 34 students along with the three faculty members participated in the programme.
• 13^th October 2022- A talk on Mental  Health was organized by the Department of Education, Alder College in collaboration with the Department of  Psychology, Nagaland University,  at Dr. Setu Memorial Hall.
• 29^th March 2023- The Department of Education organized a cultural Presentation Programme involving the 2^nd Semester students.All the students turn up with their distinctive item for their own tribes in the form of war cry, folk songs, folk tale, folk dance etc.
• 29^th April 2023- The Department organized its Annual Exposure Trip to Dzükou Retreat , Jakhama. The trip comprise of Education honours students from 2^nd , 4^th& 6^th Semesters.
• 12^th -13^th May   2023 – Two faculties from the Department attended the Two Days National Seminar on Traditional Tribal Technology in India: North East in Focus at Don Bosco College, Kohima.

Faculty Extension Services (July 2022-June 2023)

• 17-06-2022 – Dr. Medotsino Thorie, Assistant Professor, Alder College attended the one day orientation programme on Implementation of Choice  Based Credit Course (CBCS) organized by the Department of Education, Nagaland University.

• 30-08-2022 – Dr. Medotsino Thorie, Assistant Professor, Alder College extended her service as Question Paper Moderator for the 3^rd& 5^th Semester Examination 2022.

• 14-03 - 2023 – Dr. Medotsino  Thorie, Assistant Professor, Alder College extended her service as Question Paper Moderator for the undergraduate 2^nd,4^th,6^th semester,5^th semester supplementary and 2^nd semester CBCS examination 2023.

• 17 -04 -2023 – Dr. Keneiseno Chase, Assistant Professor (HOD), Alder College attended the  Board of Undergraduate Studies (BUGS) meeting with regard to the new Undergraduate Education Syllabus in line with NEP 2022 at Nagaland University.

Awards (July 2022 – June 2023)

• 15-11-2022 - Dr. Medotsino Thorie, Assistant Professor, Department of Education was awarded Ph.D Degree on the topic ‘Child Sexual Abuse with special reference to School Curriculum’ under Nagaland University, Department of Education, Meriema campus.
• 05-04-2023 – Dr. Keneiseno Chase, Assistant Professor (HOD) Department of Education was awarded PhD Degree on the topic ‘A study on the status of Western Angami Women’ under Nagaland University, Department of Education, Meriema Campus.
